🙂 A big thank you goes out to all of the Grade 9 and 10 students that showed up for Green Band on Friday morning.The band is BIG but we were still able to focus on musicianship and technique and did some sight-reading. It was great to see our Grade 9 and 10 students working so hard together in rehearsal. Later that morning our grade 9s got a head start on learning how to march! Eight Grade 10 and 11 students attended the UVic Wind Symphony and Naden Band concert at UVic on Friday night. The program was really diverse and challenging. It was a really inspiring performance for all of us in the audience! Our Pit Orchestra students put in a TON of time over the long weekend!

22nd – Lunch (Time TBA) and D-Block – Victoria Jazz Society Presentation The Victoria Jazz Society is coming to Reynolds to do a presentation as part of their “Jazz in The Schools” outreach program. They’re bringing a KILLER combo to perform for us (Nick La Reviere, Trombone. Damian Graham, drums. Max Workman, Bass. Ashley Wey, Piano). Our students will play with the group and there will be some question/answer time about going on to study jazz for post-secondary.
All Jazz Band & Vocal Jazz students, please attend. Bring your instruments and be ready to sing!
