Hi I am trying to install Windows 10 on a Windows 7 Home Edition. The computer has loads of hard drive space. It's gets as far as 70% and then when the screen goes blank it stays that way. There is no way to tell if the upgrade is going through as the screen is just blank. I left it that way for 45 minutes and pressed the start/stop button. It immediately restarted and then gave the following message: Installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT Phase with an error during BOOT operations 0xc1900101-0x40017 It then reverted me back to Windows 7. I tried again.
Same problem. I tried one more installation. Same problem. I have a WiFi dongle installed and a wireless mouse and keyboard installed. I have three laptops running 8.1 and they updated to 10 easily.
