I'm looking at buying a diagnostic tool. I want something that can tell me what's going on in the Avalanche, but I'm not looking to reprogram anything. I found a product by ScanTool called the OBDLINK SX. It comes with some software for my laptop called ObdWiz.
Tool and basic software for $50. They also sell a better software version called Scan XL Standard for an additional $80 and a GM Enhanced Add on for another $80. Has anyone ever used this product? Does the basic software tell you very much, or are the add on packages necessary to really know much?
