It has to be one of my all time faves, if not THE all time favourite of this period. Slamming bassline, break beat drums, loads of rave-scene club noises and fills, the strings, the piano drops, the quality screaming vocals. I really do think it is a perfect production than encapsulates a whole space and time of the heady, rave days. Yeah, it is quite commercial (and some would say 'cheesy'), but it has a hard grit to it that provides a great balance and formulates it into a well rounded masterpiece. I keep hearing a slightly different mix of it being played by some DJ's (such as Stu Allan) which isn't on the album or the Frenzy mix.
I don't know what it is or where it comes from, but I'd be interested in finding a copy. The B-side to this record also delivers some chunky material that always reminds me of the north-west scene of the time, Bowlers, etc. Hardcore, uplifting, well made.
